Investigative Support for Attorneys and Legal Teams

Litigation outcomes often turn on the quality of the investigative work behind the scenes. UACPI provides comprehensive investigative support to attorneys, law firms, and legal teams across civil and criminal matters — delivering the evidence, intelligence, and documentation your case requires, on time and in a format that holds up to scrutiny.

Our principal investigator's 20 years of federal investigative experience — including complex financial crimes, public corruption, and national security matters — gives UACPI a depth of capability that most litigation support firms cannot match. We understand evidentiary standards, chain of custody, and the practical demands of trial preparation because we've worked alongside prosecutors and defense counsel at the federal level.

We support attorneys at every stage of litigation. Pre-suit, we assist with witness identification, background research on parties and witnesses, asset searches, and case theory development. During active litigation, we conduct witness interviews, locate and serve hard-to-find individuals, gather field intelligence, and perform surveillance when activity documentation is required. We also support post-judgment asset recovery investigations.

Our litigation support practice serves plaintiff and defense counsel in personal injury, family law, employment, fraud, breach of contract, and criminal defense matters. We work discreetly, maintain strict confidentiality, and communicate clearly with legal teams throughout each engagement.

Los Angeles and Orange County represent the core of our litigation support practice. The volume and complexity of civil litigation in the LA metro — from entertainment and real estate disputes to employment class actions and personal injury matters — creates constant demand for investigative support that goes beyond what paralegals and legal assistants can provide. We work with solo practitioners, mid-size firms, and AmLaw 200 firms throughout Los Angeles, Century City, Irvine, Newport Beach, and the surrounding areas.

In San Diego, we support attorneys handling federal court matters, military-related litigation, and cross-border disputes. San Diego's federal courthouse is one of the busiest in the country, and the complexity of cases filed there — including immigration, intellectual property, and international commercial disputes — often requires investigative support with a federal-grade methodology. UACPI's background in federal law enforcement makes us a natural fit for these engagements.

Arizona attorneys in Phoenix, Scottsdale, and Tucson rely on UACPI for litigation support across Maricopa and Pima County matters. We are familiar with Arizona court systems, public record sources, and the investigative landscape in the Phoenix metro. Our dual-state licensure in California and Arizona allows us to support multi-state litigation without the coordination overhead of engaging separate firms in each jurisdiction.

Utah attorneys and Salt Lake City law firms engaged in complex commercial, family law, or criminal defense matters can also engage UACPI for investigative support. We coordinate field operations across the Wasatch Front and can support matters requiring multi-state investigative reach.

Litigation Support FAQs

What types of litigation matters do you support?

UACPI supports attorneys across a wide range of civil and criminal matters, including personal injury, employment disputes, family law, fraud, breach of contract, real estate litigation, and criminal defense. We work with both plaintiff and defense counsel throughout Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, Phoenix, and Salt Lake City.

Can you locate witnesses or parties who are difficult to find?

Yes. Witness and subject location — commonly called skip tracing — is a core component of our litigation support practice. We combine database research, OSINT analysis, and active field investigation to locate individuals who have moved, changed contact information, or are deliberately avoiding service. We operate across California, Arizona, Utah, and can coordinate nationally.

How do you ensure your investigative work is admissible in court?

All UACPI investigations are conducted with evidentiary standards in mind. We maintain chain-of-custody documentation, use legally permissible investigative methods, and produce reports structured for use in legal proceedings. Our principal investigator's federal law enforcement background means he understands what courts require — and how to deliver it.

Do you work with both plaintiff and defense counsel?

Yes. We work with attorneys on both sides of civil and criminal matters. Our obligation is to conduct thorough, accurate, and legally sound investigations — not to advocate for a particular outcome. Many of our Los Angeles and Orange County clients are defense-side firms; others are plaintiff firms handling personal injury and employment matters.

How quickly can you mobilize for an urgent litigation matter?

We understand that litigation timelines are often compressed. For urgent matters — including imminent depositions, trial preparation, or time-sensitive witness location — contact us directly to discuss expedited engagement. We serve clients throughout Southern California and the Southwest and can mobilize field resources quickly when the situation requires it.
