While UACPI endeavors to provide accurate and current information, all website content is provided "as is" without representation or warranty of any kind, express or implied, regarding its accuracy, completeness, reliability, suitability, or availability.

Contacting UACPI through the website, email, telephone, social media, online forms, or any other communication method does not create an investigator-client relationship.
An investigator-client relationship is established only after:
a. A conflict review has been completed;
b. UACPI agrees to accept the matter;
c. A written engagement agreement has been executed by all parties; and
d. Any required retainer, deposit, or engagement conditions have been satisfied.
Until such requirements are completed, UACPI assumes no duty of investigation, representation, confidentiality beyond applicable law, or any other professional obligation.
Customers should not submit highly sensitive, confidential, privileged, classified, or time-sensitive information through unsolicited communications or website forms.
UACPI reserves the right to decline any matter for any lawful reason, including conflicts of interest, legal restrictions, professional judgment, or resource limitations.

Payment Terms:
Invoices are due within ten (10) business days from the date results and the invoice are transmitted electronically.
Grace Period:
An additional ten (10) business-day grace period is provided.
Late Charges:
Invoices not paid within the grace period shall incur a $25 late fee. An additional $25 late fee shall be assessed every thirty (30) days thereafter until paid.
Delinquent Accounts:
Accounts outstanding for more than sixty (60) days may be referred to collections, and UACPI may pursue all available legal remedies.
Fee Structure:
Fees are assessed per policy researched in accordance with the applicable Request
Form and Fee Schedule.
A determination that no policy existed or that no coverage was active on the date of loss constitutes a completed and billable search. Only no-hit or inconclusive results qualify for a no-fee outcome.
Additional Fees:
Additional charges may apply for Tier 2 and Tier 3 carriers, VIN searches, license plate searches, ownership research, extended historical research, or unusually complex investigations.
Known Policy Information:
Customers must disclose all known policy information at the time of submission to avoid duplicate research and billing. Policies appearing solely on police reports will not be treated as confirmed unless independently verified by the Customer.
Extended Research:
For older incidents or unusually complex matters, additional fees may apply. Written customer approval will be obtained before such charges are incurred whenever practicable.
Incomplete Information:
If customer-provided information is incomplete, inaccurate, or insufficient to verify coverage, UACPI will make reasonable efforts to notify the Customer. If coverage cannot be verified, policy limits may be reported as "0," indicating no confirmed active coverage on the reported date of loss.
Standard liability-limit investigations usually completed within (5) business days.
Rush requests receive priority over non-rush matters. Rush fees will be waived if results are not delivered within three (3) business days or if the results are inconclusive.
Requests received after 4:00 p.m. Pacific Time, on weekends, or on holidays will be deemed received on the next business day.
Requests may be canceled within twenty-four (24) hours of submission provided work has not commenced.
If work has begun, UACPI may charge a reasonable termination fee based upon services performed and resources expended.
Insurer:
Includes an insurance carrier, broker, agent, administrator, risk pool, or self-insured entity.
Date of Loss:
The specific date identified on the Request Form or any approved loss period submitted by the Customer.
Policy Discovery:
Identification of the insurer providing coverage on the date of loss, including available contact information. If the insurer is no longer operating, last known contact information may be provided.
Termination:
Any cancellation of a submitted request.
All searches are conducted using information associated with the identified defendant, insured, or subject of the request.
Discovery of an insurance policy does not necessarily establish that coverage applies to a specific vehicle, property, incident, or claim.
Fees are earned and payable upon completion of the contracted research regardless of whether the discovered policy ultimately applies to the specific asset, claim, or loss at issue.
When requesting policy limits for a known policy, Customers must provide the policy number, claim number, and any available carrier correspondence.
