Protective Intelligence and Threat Analysis
Threat assessment is a discipline that demands more than a checklist — it requires investigators who understand how threats develop, how threat actors behave, and how to distinguish credible risk from noise. UACPI's threat assessment practice is grounded in federal counterintelligence and national security methodology, applied to the private-sector context.
Our principal investigator's background in FBI counterintelligence, public corruption, and national security matters gives UACPI a capability set that few private firms can match. We have assessed threats involving stalking and harassment, workplace violence, executive targeting, corporate espionage, and organized criminal activity — and we bring that experience to every engagement.
We work with individuals, executives, corporations, nonprofits, and legal teams to identify, assess, and mitigate threats before they escalate. A typical engagement begins with a structured intake to understand the nature of the threat and the client's risk profile, followed by investigative research into the threat actor, behavioral analysis, and a written assessment with recommended protective measures.
Our risk assessment services extend beyond individual threat actors. We also conduct organizational security assessments, travel risk briefings for executives operating in high-risk environments, and pre-employment threat screening for sensitive positions. When a situation requires coordination with law enforcement, we can assist clients in preparing and presenting information to the appropriate authorities.
Los Angeles and Orange County present a distinctive threat landscape for high-profile individuals, entertainment industry executives, and corporate leaders. The concentration of wealth, public visibility, and media attention in the LA metro creates elevated risk for stalking, harassment, and targeted threats. UACPI works with entertainment companies, law firms, family offices, and high-net-worth individuals throughout Los Angeles, Beverly Hills, Bel Air, Malibu, Newport Beach, and the surrounding region to assess and mitigate these risks.
San Diego's defense industry, technology sector, and proximity to the border create a specific threat environment that includes corporate espionage, foreign intelligence activity, and organized criminal threats. UACPI's federal counterintelligence background gives us particular depth in assessing these threat categories — capabilities that are rarely available from regional PI firms.
Phoenix and Arizona have seen significant growth in corporate activity and executive relocation, bringing with it an increased demand for executive protection intelligence and threat assessment. UACPI serves Arizona-based executives, corporations, and legal counsel with the same federal-grade threat assessment methodology we apply in California — with the added advantage of dual-state licensure and familiarity with the Arizona threat environment.
UACPI operates with complete discretion. Threat assessment engagements are handled confidentially, and our reports are structured to be useful to both the client and, when necessary, legal counsel or law enforcement. Contact us to discuss your situation and receive a confidential consultation.

What is a threat assessment and when do I need one?
A threat assessment is a structured investigative and analytical process that evaluates the credibility, severity, and trajectory of a potential threat — whether from a specific individual, a group, or an organizational vulnerability. You may need a threat assessment if you have received threatening communications, are experiencing stalking or harassment, are concerned about workplace violence, or are an executive or public figure who has reason to believe you may be targeted. UACPI serves clients throughout Los Angeles, Orange County, San Diego, Phoenix, and Salt Lake City.
How is your threat assessment different from a security consultant's assessment?
Security consultants typically focus on physical security measures — access control, surveillance systems, protective protocols. UACPI's threat assessment practice focuses on the threat actor: who they are, what their history and behavioral patterns indicate, what their capability and intent appear to be, and what investigative steps can be taken to monitor and mitigate the threat. The two disciplines are complementary, and we often work alongside security consultants on complex engagements.
Can you investigate a stalker or harasser?
Yes. Stalking and harassment investigations are a core component of our threat assessment practice. We investigate the identity, background, behavioral history, and current activities of individuals who are stalking or harassing our clients — and we produce reports structured for use in civil restraining order proceedings, criminal complaints, and law enforcement referrals. We serve clients throughout Southern California and Arizona.
Do you coordinate with law enforcement?
Yes, when appropriate and at the client's direction. UACPI can assist clients in preparing and presenting information to local, state, or federal law enforcement agencies. Our principal investigator's FBI background means he understands how law enforcement agencies assess and respond to threat information — and how to present that information in a way that is most likely to result in effective action.
How confidential is the threat assessment process?
Completely confidential. UACPI handles all threat assessment engagements with strict confidentiality. We do not disclose client identities, the nature of the threat, or any aspect of the engagement to third parties without the client's explicit authorization. Our reports are structured to protect client privacy while providing the information needed for protective action.
